This Privacy Policy explains what information SalonBuddy collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using SalonBuddy, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide, such as your name, email address, username, and password.
- Profile content you add, including your headline, bio, location, education, experience, licenses, specialties, and portfolio images.
- Activity such as posts, comments, likes, connections, messages, and job listings you create.
- Technical data such as your device and browser information and basic log data, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and profile.
- To show your work and profile to other members as you choose.
- To enable connections, messaging, and opportunity listings.
- To keep the platform safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our policies.
- To communicate with you about your account and important updates.
What's public
Your profile and the content you mark as public (including your name, username, headline, and public portfolio projects) may be visible to anyone, including non-members and search engines. Private messages are visible only to conversation participants. You control the visibility of your portfolio projects.
How your data is stored
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) using access controls that restrict each account to its own data. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the platform, or when required by law.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your profile information at any time in your settings.
- Adjust the visibility of your portfolio projects.
- Delete your account, which removes your profile and associated content.
