Community Guidelines
Last updated July 2026
SalonBuddy is a professional community. These guidelines keep it a place where beauty professionals can share their work, connect, and grow with confidence. Using SalonBuddy means agreeing to follow them.
Be professional and respectful
- Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated in a salon or classroom.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination of any kind.
- Keep critique constructive. Disagree with ideas, not with people.
Share authentic work
- Post work you actually did, and be honest about your role in it.
- Don't claim someone else's work as your own.
- Get consent before posting recognizable photos of clients or models.
Keep it appropriate
- Portfolio content should be professional beauty work.
- No nudity, sexually explicit content, or graphic material.
- No content that promotes unsafe or unlicensed practice.
No spam or scams
- Don't post repetitive, misleading, or purely promotional content.
- Job and opportunity listings must be real and accurate.
- Never ask members for payment to apply, or solicit off-platform to defraud.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. See Safety & Reporting for how. We review reports and may warn, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate these standards.
